Urine must be refrigerated during collection. Mix entire 24 hour urine specimen (random specimens are acceptable but have no reference ranges). Remove 5 mL aliquot from well-mixed specimen. Record total volume, date, time collection started and time collection finished on test request form.

Men: 300 mg/d or less
Women: 250 mg/d or less
