INTERPRETIVE DATA
The immunohistochemical detection of granular cytoplasmic staining for Cathepsin D is an adverse prognostic indicator for breast carcinoma, especially among node-negative patients. Staining may be helpful in identifying a subset of breast cancer patients that would benefit from adjuvant therapy

This assay uses a commercial kit or one (or more) reagent(s) designated as "research use only" or "investigational use only" by the manufacturer. Test reliability has been validated by in-house evaluation.
