CREATININE CLEARANCE, URINE

24 hour urine specimen and 6 mL SST. Urine must be refrigerated during collection. Mix entire 24 hour urine specimen. Remove 5 mL aliquot from well-mixed specimen. Record total volume, date, time collection started and time collection finished on test request form.

5 mL refrigerated urine. (Min: 1.0 mL) and 1 mL refrigerated serum (Min: 0.3 mL)
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Height and weight of patient is required. Serum Creatinine is necessary to calculate clearance.
|
